If you have questions, we have answers! Take a look at the most frequently asked questions about private events below. If your question isn’t answered here, don’t hesitate to give us a call.

Do you offer a bar package?

We do not offer a price per person per hour bar package. We charge for alcohol based on consumption, i.e. whatever your guests order. However, there are a number of different options for alcohol:

1. The drinks tab is paid by the host; it is an open bar. If you would like to limit the bar choices we can do that too, i.e., wine and beer only.
2. The drinks are paid for by the attendees/guests. We call this a cash bar though your guests can pay with credit/debit cards or cash.
3. A combination of the above: drinks paid by the host for a certain amount of time or up to a certain budget and then a cash bar paid by the attendees.
4. Drink tickets; you give your guest tickets (we can provide those) for 1 or 2 drinks that you will pay for, the guests then pay for more drinks after they use the tickets. The drink tickets are also charged based on consumption – whatever your guests order – but we can also limit that if you like.

Can I schedule a visit to see the room(s)?

You can visit anytime we’re open to see the rooms, you don’t need to schedule an appointment. But check with us first to make sure the room is available. If it is booked for a private event you won’t be able to see the room. Give us call a couple of days in advance to check the room availability.

For the best experience it is better to plan a visit during non-peak hours, for example during the week rather than Saturday evening.

Do you offer a tasting menu?

We do not offer a tasting menu.

Can we bring our own food or dessert?

You can bring your own dessert, we do not charge a cake-cutting or dessert-plating fee. We cannot allow non-dessert food to be brought in. Also, no outside alcohol is allowed. If you’re having a party or shower with gifts and there may be alcohol gifts involved, that’s fine. But outside alcohol cannot be opened or consumed on-site.

What about allergies and/or dietary restrictions?

We can accommodate most allergies and dietary restrictions. We offer meals for vegetarians and vegans as well as those with the following allergies: gluten, nuts, fish/shellfish, dairy/lactose intolerance. Those with severe allergies should be aware that cross contact is possible. For example: we can prepare items nut-free but our kitchen does work with nuts so if someone has a severe nut allergy there is the possibility of cross contact (nut dust).

We will prepare special entrees to accommodate your guests with allergies or dietary restrictions. We have a special menu we can send you with the options. We will need their meal selections in advance please.

When do I need to provide the guest count?

We need an updated guest count a minimum of 10 days prior to your event. Your final headcount is due 2 days prior to your event.

How can I pay the deposit?

You can pay the deposit one of three ways: 1) call us to pay with a credit/debit card, 2) stop by and pay with credit/debit card, check, or cash, 3) mail us a check. We do not offer online payments.

Can I bring in decorations?

Sure! But we do not allow confetti or glitter in our rooms. Open flames (candles) are allowed if the flame is enclosed. And if you want to hang anything on the walls, we do not allow nails, tape, or tacks, so please bring command strips.

What time can I arrive to set-up?

Generally, if your private event starts before 2:00pm you can arrive as early as 10:00am to set-up. There is no extra charge for this, however, please confirm with us in advance that you’d like to do that as there may be exceptions. We open at 11:30am so if you arrive before that time, give us a call and we can open the door for you.

If your event starts later in the day, please check with us in advance to confirm what time you can arrive for set-up. There may be an event before yours in that room. Generally, you can arrive 1 hour in advance but please check with us first.

I have a small-ish group, only about 15-18 people, can we book a private room and order from the regular dining menu when we arrive?

All bookings in our private rooms need to use our Private Events Menus (click here for our Private Event Menus), which need to pre-selected and ordered in advance. Our regular dining menu is not offered in our private rooms.

When do I pay for the event, in advance?

A deposit is required in advance and will be deducted from your final bill, which will be presented to you for payment at the end of the event.
